I am a songwriter/musician!  |
Music I have always been interested in music for as long as I can remember! From Kris Allen to All American Rejects to Enrique Iglesias, I listen to pretty much everything! I have been playing the cello since September 2006, so about four years. I went from learning how to play "Yankee Doodle" to rocking out on "Viva La Vida." In school, I am third chair in the cello section of seven players. I love orchestra, and any string instrument! When I first thought of the word 'orchestra', I pictured us playing Betthoven and Pachabel, not Coldplay and Led Zepplin. At my school, we focus more on playing fun pieces, than playing slow, sad ones that are too easy. I love a challenge, so when a hard piece comes, I start practicing right away! In June 2010, I grew an interest for the guitar. I bought my own J. Reynolds guitar, and started to take lessons. But after about five, I realized that I was advancing faster than my teacher taught, so I stopped taking lessons and continued to teach myself. I have written several songs, including "Happiness is Free" which I should be uploading soon! When I am playing the guitar, it feels like I am on top of the world. It just relaxes me when I sit down and express my feelings through music! Around July 2009, I started to teach myself how to play the piano! Before I could only play one handed, But I am working on playing with two hands. I have taught myself to play "It Ends Tonight" by the All American Rejects, and I have also written a song called "Moonlight Garden" which I should be uploading soon. I am better at playing today's modern pop and rock songs on the piano than I am at playing Pachabel or Beethoven! I can play Pachabel's Canon in D very well though! I have tried out writing songs and singing them, but my voice just does not sound good. I prefer to play instruments anyway. |
